Went as a group of 6 and was able to try many items from the menu. Everything was so good stand out items would definitely be the lambchops and steak. Service was very good, the water was never empty. Started with the humus royale and ribs, definitely recommend. Wasnt a big fan of the roasted lamb shoulder found it a bit dry for their signature dish. But everything else was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Read more on GoogleWe ordered the crispy olives, hummus royale, Turkish dumplings, thrice-cooked fries, wagyu pide, and fried chicken. The good: crispy olives, hummus royale, and the wagyu pide (highlight dish of the night, truly special). Moving on to the fries, they were mediocre and very similar to McDonald's fries. They also came out kinda cold. The Turkish dumplings had a weird lemon flavour; it didn't go with the rest of the dish, tasted like a Lysol wipe, and the fried chicken portion was very small for the price, but it did come with a nice sauce. Now moving on to service, at first, it was great. The lady who led us to our seats was super nice and welcoming, and our first waiter was great as well. We asked to move because of a loud group next to us, and this was probably a mistake, as our new server was miserable. I understand not liking your job or not liking us, but not smiling the entire night and being condescending when we ask questions about the menu is insane, especially given it's an upscale dining spot. The only time he smiled all night was when we tipped him in cash and thanked him. The service ruined our experience and made sure we would never come back. If you get a good server, however, this place has some great dishes. The atmosphere is nice; however, the couch we sat on was ripped pretty badly—overall decent spot with sub-par service and upscale pricing.
Read more on GoogleCame here with a group of 4 and was recommended 2-3 items per person to share. We got an appetizer and a main each and it was plenty of food. The dessert was delicious as well. We stayed past closing time and the staff was really gracious and didn’t rush us to leave, though they probably should’ve! Overall, great food, atmosphere and service!
Read more on GoogleOverall we had a fantastic experience. The food excelled expectations across the board. The octopus dish was a standout for us as was the fried chicken. The Turkish dumplings, which are popular on social media, were good but not as good as the octopus. The lamb pide had a strong delicious lamb flavour, and the rice and brussel sprouts helped balance the meal. In addition to the excellent food, Jaimie our server was wonderful, giving us advice on planning our meal, bringing us good cocktails, and even surprising us with a scoop of pomegranate sorbet. We would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Read more on GoogleGreat cuisine and quality of service. The roasted lamb shoulder was delicious and very rich, perfectly complemented by the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower and rice dishes. The salmon and chicken are also tasty and plated in a very appealing manner. Service was exceptional - the staff were very willing to provide recommendations and pairings for various dishes. Definitely worth visiting if you're seeking upscale, Arab-inspired food.

Read more on GoogleThe food was amazing. Not only was it incredibly delicious but it was an entire experience with gorgeously plated food served with care and attention to detail. The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone including some great veggie options like the fried eggplant and pides. There's also ample meat options though they are known for their lamb. I love the ambience and the servers are knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. Reservations are recommended.
Read more on GoogleWe had dinner at Byblos tonight, and while the atmosphere and service were top-notch, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. Our server, David, truly elevated the experience. He was attentive, warm, and professional — easily one of the best servers I’ve encountered in Toronto. His energy and smile set the tone for the evening, and he deserves real recognition for how exceptional he is at what he does. That said, the food was underwhelming. The baby gem salad was fresh and flavorful, but the fried eggplant leaned too sweet, and the stuffed eggplant was surprisingly bitter. The Turkish dumplings were just okay — nothing memorable. I asked for hot sauce to balance the flavors, which turned out to be a watery Frank’s-style sauce, and was surprised to see a $3 charge for it. I eat out often and have never been charged for something so basic. The fries, however, were perfectly crispy — probably the best thing we ordered. We finished off with cappuccinos and cake, which ended the night on a decent note. Overall, I’d come back only for the service, not the food. With better flavor balance and attention to detail in the dishes, Byblos could easily live up to its reputation — but for now, it feels like the kitchen doesn’t match the quality of the front-of-house team.
Read more on GoogleWe shared a few plates together with the halloumi being thr stand out for flavour. The lentil pide was tasty. Cauliflower side was a little on the crunchy side for my liking. Read more on GoogleI dined here with a friend and unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations. Upon arrival, we were confused as the exterior resembles the back of an office building rather than a restaurant. Once inside, the space appeared quite small but we were led to another floor. The dining area was dimly lit, with a small desk lamp on each table. While the atmosphere aimed to be intimate, the overall interior and design were underwhelming. The bench we were seated on was torn, and the table was too small for our dishes. Although we requested a larger table, no suitable alternative was provided. We ordered Turkish dumplings and Labneh as starters, along with the Rose's Shadow and Mediterranean Mule mocktails. The appetizers were extremely disappointing (don't be fooled by the pictures). The portion was minimal, and the bread served alongside it was stale. The Rose's Shadow mocktail was enjoyable, however, the Mediterranean Mule was not, as it tasted like watered-down ginger tea with excessive ice. For our main courses, we ordered the Short Rib Kebab and Fried Chicken. These dishes were much better than the appetizers but still did not stand out, especially considering the price point. We dined in on Boxing Day, and it appeared that the prices were increased by $5-$10 per item likely due to the holiday. However, this was not communicated by staff and was missed by us on the menu, which was disappointing and unexpected. Overall, an experience I hoped would be enjoyable turned out to be quite poor. Between the mediocre food, uncomfortable seating, mismatched ambiance, and an unclean washroom with a sink nozzle that was not properly secured. This restaurant did not live up to its advertised standards.
Read more on GoogleGreat atmosphere and service, unfortunately the food didnt live up to my expectations. I ordered the lamp chops and they had too much fat on them and they were covered in a sauce that was overwhelming to the point I couldn't even taste the lamb! Maybe I ordered the wrong mains, the truffle pide was great so was the funky design if the restaurant.
Read more on GoogleMy boyfriend and I went here on a Monday evening and it was not busy not that busy. Atmosphere wise, it's a really intimate environment and everything looks good in my photos. Our server is also very attentive with everything and helped us out a lot in picking our foods as it's my first time there. Food wise, buy the octopus (starter) and the short rib kebab (main), these two are the main event , theyre actually really really good. I saw a lot of good reviews on fries so I got it, but it's pretty mid, but hey it's only $9 so. We personally do not like the fried chicken, not like it taste bad but it's like $30 but it's very very simple. It's literally just fried chicken. But the kebab and the octopus just has something special with it like we are willing to buy it regardless how much it is lol. Anywho, we still feel like it's a good date night for us and we might come back just for the octopus and kebab.
Read more on GoogleAn incredible dinner from start to finish. The lamb shoulder was out of this world—tender, deeply seasoned, and absolutely memorable. The sides were just as impressive, especially the rice, which delivered exactly the flavours my palate was craving. Every note landed perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were beautifully done too, and the pear and arugula salad made for a bright, refreshing start. The octopus was expertly prepared—delicate, smoky, and set atop a rich, nutty harissa that added just the right warmth and depth. Everything, truly, was exceptional. The service struck that perfect balance—attentive without overstepping. I left in a state of quiet bliss. A remarkable dinner in every sense.

Read more on GoogleWent as a group of 6 and was able to try many items from the menu.
Read more on GoogleWe went on Valentine’s Day and had a select menu to choose from. The amuse bouche, Brussels sprouts, and desserts were great, but the rest of our food was just fine - nothing to write home about. The drinks were good. There was a DJ that played house music which we did not love personally. The server was good.

From the moment you walk into this Art Deco-inspired space in the heart of the Entertainment District, you’re transported. Did you know? The restaurant is named after Byblos, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world (dating back to 5000 BC!). Much like its namesake, the menu is a beautiful "cultural mosaic"—blending traditional spices from the Eastern Mediterranean seaboard with modern techniques. Whether it's the famous Turkish Manti Dumplings, the fragrant Black Truffle Rice, or the show-stopping Lamb Ribs, every dish is designed to be shared family-style. Trust us, you’ll want to order an extra serving of the Sweet Jeweled Rice—it’s legendary for a reason. 🍚✨ Gather your favorite people and let the coastal flavors take over. 🥂 #TorontoEats #TorontoFood #ExploreTO #TorontoFoodies #The6ixEats 📷 @StayserEats
Read more on Google6 of us went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and we had a great evening. The food was good and great for sharing, the atmosphere and our server were wonderful, and they have quite an extensive wine list. (I would suggest ignoring the wines listed on the first few pages, and look at the Mediterranean wines listed further back - where I found a very tasty Greek Agiorgitiko.)
Read more on GoogleCame here for Valentine’s Day and order off the standard menu. Great food and ambience, we asked our server for recommendations and they did not disappoint. The Turkish Manti Dumplings was our fave, and then the Fried Chicken. We will 100% be coming back.
Stuffed eggplant was excellent with the flavourful tomato sauce. Loved the room, busy but not overly loud. Service was attentive and relaxed.
Read more on GoogleLoved this place! The rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and having it with wine made the night even nicer. The restaurant is also very pretty and has a warm, welcoming vibe. Will definitely come back.
Read more on GoogleAmbiance, food, and drinks were sooo good. We were 4 girls and split a bunch of items and it was reasonably priced. They allowed us to move upstairs which had a nicer vibe and our server was very accommodating, even recommended bars to try out in the neighbouring area. Byblos never disappoints
